About Woking Community Furniture

Who We Are

WCFP is a local registered charity which was set up in 1988 and is based in Woking, Surrey. All our work is done with help from volunteers and dedicated staff. We also work closely with local council agencies, churches and charities who identify those most needing our help.

WCFP also provides valuable work skills, and offers experience and support to the long-term unemployed and disadvantaged in the community via our various work experience opportunities.

What We Do

We collect unwanted furniture and electrical items from the local community and provide these items at low cost to families and individuals in need, who live in Woking and the surrounding areas.

Our team of volunteers and staff are on hand to refurbish items where necessary and test all electrical equipment before resale. This process transforms waste into good quality furniture and houses into homes, whilst also transforming the lives not only of those who receive the re-used items, but also those who work for the charity.

Why We Do It

Our main goal is to have a positive impact on the local community and our environment. We aim to achieve this through developing/delivering good quality and sustainable re-used goods, recycling, generating employment and volunteering opportunities and offering training services.

We hope to contribute towards improving the lives of those who live in Woking and the surrounding areas, ultimately improving the quality of life of the whole community.
